Who is this for
The panchayat will not approve a house on your own land.
Banks hesitate to accept nilam land as security.
Buyers walk away once they see the land type, and the price drops.
You were told it can't be done. We check what legal routes remain.
What is this conversion?
Land recorded as nilam (paddy land/wetland) in revenue records can block house construction, bank loans and sale. Under the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008, eligible land can be reclassified through an application to the RDO.
